Ingredients
  

  • 1 French baguette sliced
  • ¼ cup + 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 large Roma tomatoes diced
  • 4 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 sprig fresh basil thinly sliced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Cream Cheese Spread:

  • 8 ounces block-style cream cheese softened
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes
  • ½ teaspoon crushed black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cream Cheese Spread: In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with chili flakes, black pepper, and garlic powder until smooth. Set aside.

  • Marinate the Tomatoes: In another bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, ¼ cup olive oil, chopped garlic, basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and adjust seasoning if needed. Set aside.
    4 large Roma tomatoes, 4 cloves garlic, 1 sprig fresh basil, Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Toast the Baguette: Preheat the oven to 375°F. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and drizzle with 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly toasted.

  • Assemble and Serve: Spread about 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture onto each toasted baguette slice, then top with 1 tablespoon of the marinated tomatoes. Serve immediately and enjoy!
