Stanley Tucci’s Lasagne Verde (Green Lasagna)

Ingredients
  

  • cups Maria Rosa’s sauce tomato sauce
  • 7 regular yellow lasagna noodles, cooked al dente and drained
  • 5 spinach green lasagna noodles, cooked al dente and drained
  • 2 cups béchamel sauce white sauce
  • 1 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter for greasing pan

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease your baking dish with butter.

  • Add Sauce Base: Spread about ½ cup of tomato sauce evenly onto the bottom of your baking dish.
    2¼ cups Maria Rosa’s sauce
  • First Layer: Place 3 regular lasagna noodles side-by-side in the dish. Spread evenly with about ½ cup tomato sauce, followed by ½ cup béchamel sauce, then sprinkle with about ¼ cup Parmesan cheese.

  • Second Layer: Lay down 3 green lasagna noodles. Again spread with about ½ cup tomato sauce, ½ cup béchamel sauce, and sprinkle ¼ cup Parmesan cheese.

  • Third Layer: Add another 3 regular lasagna noodles. Repeat layers with ½ cup tomato sauce, ½ cup béchamel sauce, and ¼ cup Parmesan cheese.
  • Top Layer: Place your last regular noodle in the center, with one green noodle on each side (2 green noodles total). Spread with remaining tomato sauce and béchamel sauce, finishing with the last ¼ cup Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Bake Lasagna: Bake for about 30 minutes, until bubbly and golden-brown on top. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
