BBQ Chicken Flatbread Pizza Naan

This BBQ Chicken Flatbread Pizza Naan is for those nights when making pizza dough sounds like a wildly unnecessary personality test. Crispy naan gets loaded with sweet barbecue sauce, chicken, bacon, red onion, and melty cheddar jack cheese, because dinner can be lazy and still look like it had a plan.

Ingredients

  • Olive oil spray
  • 4 pieces naan bread
  • ½ cup sweet barbecue sauce plus more for drizzling
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar jack cheese
  • 1 ½ cups chopped cooked chicken
  • 4 slices cooked bacon chopped
  • ½ red onion thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro optional

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F. Lightly spray 2 rimmed baking sheets with olive oil spray.
    Olive oil spray
  • Prepare Naan: Place 2 pieces of naan on each baking sheet. Spread about 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce over each naan, leaving a ½-inch border around the edges.
4 pieces naan bread, ½ cup sweet barbecue sauce
  • Add First Cheese Layer: Sprinkle a little of the shredded cheddar jack cheese over each naan. This helps hold the toppings in place and gives the pizza a better cheesy bite.
2 cups shredded cheddar jack cheese
  • Add Toppings: Divide the chopped chicken, bacon, and sliced red onion evenly over the naan pizzas.
1 ½ cups chopped cooked chicken, 4 slices cooked bacon, ½ red onion
  • Add More Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining cheddar jack cheese over the top. Drizzle each pizza with a little extra barbecue sauce.
  • Bake Pizzas: Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the edges of the naan are golden and crisp. If using two oven racks, rotate the baking sheets halfway through cooking.
  • Finish and Serve: Sprinkle with chopped cilantro, if using. Slice the naan pizzas and serve warm.
    2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
