I made these mummy pretzels when I needed dessert fast. Zero oven drama. Just dip, drizzle, add eyes, and pretend you planned ahead.
They’re one of those easy, no-bake Halloween treats that kids can “help” with, mostly by eating the candy eyes. Still counts as teamwork.
For Halloween snacks with pretzels, these hit the sweet-salty thing hard. Annoyingly cute, ridiculously easy. A party win.

- Melt the Chocolate: Add the white vanilla melting wafers to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, then microwave for another 30 seconds, or until smooth and fully melted. Let the chocolate cool for about 1 minute, then pour it into a tall narrow cup or jar.1 cup white vanilla melting wafers
- Dip the Pretzels: Dip each large pretzel rod about halfway into the melted chocolate. Let the extra chocolate drip back into the cup, then place the dipped pretzels on the prepared wire rack. Freeze for about 5 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm.11 large pretzel rods

- Drizzle the Mummy Wraps: Spoon about 3 tablespoons of the remaining melted chocolate into a piping bag or zip-top bag. Snip off a tiny corner, then drizzle the chocolate back and forth over each pretzel to look like mummy bandages. Leave a little space near the top for the candy eyes.

- Add the Candy Eyes: Dab a small amount of melted chocolate on the back of each candy eye. Press 2 candy eyes near the top of each pretzel stick.22 candy eyeballs

- Set and Serve: Move the pretzel sticks to a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for about 10 minutes, or until fully set. Serve right away, or store them in an airtight container at room temperature in a cool, dry place for up to 2 weeks.
Halloween Pretzel Sticks That Don’t Need Your Oven’s Approval
These are almost impossible to mess up, which is exactly the energy we need during the Halloween season. Still, a few tiny moves make them look less “rushed at 10 p.m.” and more “adorably spooky on purpose.”

Use Real Pretzel Rods, Not Tiny Pretzel Sticks
Yes, the recipe is called Halloween Pretzel Sticks, but you want the big pretzel rods here. The skinny snack-size sticks are cute until you try adding mummy bandages and eyeballs, and suddenly you’re doing surgery with chocolate. Go big enough to decorate without losing your mind.
A Tall Cup Makes Dipping Less Annoying
Pour the melted chocolate into a tall, narrow cup instead of trying to dip from a shallow bowl. You’ll get a smoother coating, waste less chocolate, and avoid scraping pretzels around like you’re panning for gold.
Let the Chocolate Cool for a Minute
If the coating is blazing hot, it can slide right off the pretzels or make the candy eyes look a little tragic. Let it sit for a minute before dipping. Not forever, just long enough for the chocolate to calm down.
Use Almond Bark if You Have It
White vanilla melting wafers work great, but vanilla almond bark is also a solid choice. It melts smoothly, sets nicely, and usually behaves better than regular white chocolate chips, which love to seize up at the worst possible moment because apparently they have drama.
Don’t Skip the Tiny Bag Corner
When you drizzle the mummy wraps, cut the tiniest corner off the zip-top bag. If the hole is too big, you’ll get thick blobs instead of thin mummy lines. You can always cut more, but you cannot un-cut the bag. Kitchen physics is rude.

Candy Eyes Need Glue
A little melted chocolate on the back of each candy eye helps them stay put. Press them on gently so they stick without sinking into the coating like tiny haunted quicksand victims.
Add Sprinkles Only If You Want Chaos
Halloween sprinkles can make these even cuter, but use them before the chocolate sets. Once the coating hardens, sprinkles will just bounce off and decorate your counter instead, which is festive in the least helpful way.
Make Them Ahead, But Store Them Right
These keep well in an airtight container at room temperature in a cool, dry spot. Avoid long-term fridge storage because condensation can make the pretzels stale and sad. Crisp pretzels are the whole point here.
Package Them for Easy Party Treats
Once set, slide each pretzel into a clear treat bag and tie it with Halloween ribbon. They’re great for school parties, bake sales, or pretending you’re the kind of person who casually makes themed snacks ahead of time.
