Heirloom Tomato Burrata Caprese Salad

Ingredients
- 4 heirloom tomatoes
- 1 burrata cheese 8 ounces
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1 teaspoon sea salt flakes
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon truffle salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Balsamic Glaze: In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and truffle salt. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook until reduced by half, about 10 minutes. Let it cool.
- Slice the Tomatoes: Cut the heirloom tomatoes into thin slices and arrange them on a serving plate. Drizzle with olive oil and season with sea salt and black pepper.
- Arrange the Salad: Layer the tomato slices on the plate, tucking fresh basil leaves between some of the slices.
- Add the Burrata: Place the burrata cheese in the center of the plate. Cut it open gently to let the creamy interior ooze out slightly.
- Drizzle and Serve: Drizzle the cooled balsamic glaze over the tomatoes and burrata. Garnish with extra basil leaves and serve immediately.
